Tri The Village Sprint Triathlon - June 11, 2016

Hot Springs Village, AR - 500yard Swim / 13.5 mile Bike / 3.2 Mile Run

Schedule of Events

Friday 6/10

(5:00 - 7:30pm) Packet pick-up for triathlon [MAP]

Saturday 6/11 (Tri the Village Race Day Race Site Location) [MAP]
5:00am  - Transition area opens
5 - 6:30am - Late Packet Pick up and Race Day Registration
6:30am  - Pre Race Instruction at at registration area
6:45am  - Transition Area closes (all bikes must be racked)
7:00am  - Race Start: 1st wave (each wave separated by 3 - 5 min)
10:00am  - Post race food & beverage
10:30am  - Awards @ Race Site


HSV Gated Community Check-in

All Participants that do not have Hot Springs Village passes will need to enter the village through one of the two manned gates. If you pre-registered your name will be on the admit list. You will need to stop, give them your name and they will check the list and send you in. If you plan on registering on race day, you will also need to come through one of the two manned gates. You will be asked to check in and provide some information. Either way you should give yourself a little extra time to "check in at the gate" on race morning. The Two Manned Gate Locations are:

Parking Information:

We will have individuals providing parking instructions on race morning.

Transition Area:

Only Athletes with Numbers, Race Officials, and Race Management will be allowed in the Transition Area. No others permitted to be in transition area at any time during the event.

Participants - will be allowed to remove their bikes (post race) from the transition starting after all participants have returned from the Bike portion of your event. Please be curious and aware while removing your items. Anyone removing their bike prior to authorization or with out permission from the Race Director will be disqualified. If you have special circumstances, such as work commitments or something of this nature, come ask us and we will work with you.

SWIM - 500 Yards

The race begins with a in water start. The Finish area is on a large concrete boat ramp. Swim course will close 60 minutes after the send off of the last wave. Historically the water temp is in the upper 70's. If water temp is above 78F wet suit will not be allowed.

BIKE - 13.5 Miles

The Course Loops Lake Balboa. This is a rolling course with a couple of climbs. Course runs in a counter clockwise direction.

RUN - 3.2 Mile

Lollie-pop style course Aid stations will be located at roughly 1 mile increments and are very well stocked.
