In a nut Shell:  Healthy life styles are important in many different ways

  1. Participants enjoy life more fully
  2. Participants set an example by which others can follow
  3. Participants act as a roll model for today youth.  This is very important due to the raising youth obesity rate.

The Main Charities that we help to support are:

  1. Teen Challenge of Arkansas - www.teenchallengear.org   This is a faith based residential program for men who struggle with drug and alcohol issues.  
  2. Boy Scout Troop 24 of Arkadelphia AR and Troop 78 of Conway AR - Through our donations at risk youth are provided with scholarships to summer camp and other worth while activities.
  3. The Arkadelphia High School Band Boosters - The Arkadelphia Marching Band,  Color guard and Winter guard compete in multiple competitions each year.  We help to fund them.  In this way we help kids to focus on positive items which helps them to reduce the potential for involvement in non productive behavior.
  4. We also support other Programs for the developmentally challenge, a Battered Women's shelter law enforcement reserve funds and many other worth while community support programs

It is the belief within DLT that if we assist on the front end of providing youth with the knowledge to choose the "right path" that the next generation will be better then the present.  Secondly, we help to support Teen Challenge, so that those that have strayed from the path can be provided the assistance they need to help to become productive in our communities again.

Volunteers:  If you look around at a DLT event you will see individuals for the charities we support helping you to enjoy your athletic endeavor.  So please take the time to say thank you to them.  Believe you me, they will appreciate it!
